"A range of group activities for all"
Accredited courses, outings, alternative therapies, gender specific group activities and more
Our Activities
We have adopted a preventative approach to our service delivery, now providing health, wellbeing and social care support.
At the heart of all our services is the absolute commitment to deliver support that makes a difference. Our aims are:
- To provide support to the BME community in Coventry and Warwickshire
- To increase community understanding of mental health issues
- To aid the health and wellbeing recovery process
- To provide a holistic and person centred service
- To reduce isolation and depression
Peer Support Groups
This group enables individuals to build their confidence, reduce isolation and build their resilience. 'Peers' is a term used to describe likeminded people with shared experience.
Peer support is when people use their own experiences to help each other.
There are different types of peer support, but they all aim to:
- Bring together people with shared experiences to support each other
- Provide a space where you feel accepted and understood
- Treat everyone's experiences as being equally important
- Involve both giving and receiving support
Coffee Mornings
We host coffee mornings, for all the groups we support.
This is an opportunity to meet people and share experiences and put the world
to rights with discussions about topics in the news, current issues etc.
Outreach Support
We can support you with advocacy (e.g. support at ward rounds), visits to Caludon Centre, support at tribunals, emotional wellbeing support, advice & information; and support to see consultant psychiatrists. Read more here >
