"A range of group sessions for all"

We provide coffee mornings, health & awareness workshops, cultural and special interest days

Group Services

We have adopted a preventative approach to our service delivery, now providing health, wellbeing and social care support.

At the heart of all our services is the absolute commitment to deliver support that makes a difference. Our aims are:

  • To provide support to the BME community in Coventry and Warwickshire
  • To increase community understanding of mental health issues
  • To aid the health and wellbeing recovery process
  • To provide a holistic and person centred service
  • To reduce isolation and depression

The Approach

Tamarind group services enables individuals to build their confidence, reduce isolation and build their resilience. This is an important peer-led initiative with direct input from many of our beneficiaries.

Peer Support

'Peers' is a term used to describe likeminded people with shared experience.

Peer support is when people use their own experiences to help each other. There are different types of peer support, but they all aim to:

  • Bring together people with shared experiences to support each other
  • Provide a space where you feel accepted and understood
  • Treat everyone's experiences as being equally important
  • Involve both giving and receiving support
